Yes — and first-timers often have the most powerful experience. Our route is designed for people who have never been. Your guide explains every site from the beginning, with full context. You don't need prior knowledge of church history or archaeology. You need curiosity and comfortable walking shoes.

You can join the land-only portion and book your own flights to Tel Aviv. Or we can help you coordinate flights. If you book your own, arrive at least one day before the tour begins — we strongly recommend arriving a day before or on the Day of the tour beginning in the morning to account for any delays. Please confirm your flight details with us at least 60 days before departure.

After the Jewish high holidays (Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Sukkot), the crowds drop significantly. Temperatures settle into the 70s°F — warm enough to enjoy outdoor sites, cool enough for full-day walking. Jerusalem in October has a quality of light and atmosphere that experienced travelers consistently describe as the best time they've been.

Spiritually: read the Gospels slowly in the weeks before you go — Mark first, then Luke. Read the relevant Psalms (120–134). We send all registered travelers a preparation guide organized by the sites on the itinerary. Practically: walk 1–2 miles daily starting 4–6 weeks before departure. Break in your walking shoes before you arrive — this is the single most important practical step.

Yes — about a third of our travelers come as individuals. You'll join a group of like-minded believers and will not feel alone at any point. If you'd prefer a single room, a $800 supplement applies. If you'd like to be matched with a same-gender roommate to avoid the supplement, let us know at registration and we'll do our best to accommodate.

The $200 administrative fee is non-refundable in all circumstances. The remaining $300 deposit balance is refundable per our Cancellation Policy, which follows a penalty schedule based on how far in advance you cancel. We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance within 14 days of your deposit — it's the only real protection for your investment if something unexpected happens.
