This is not sightseeing. This is the Bible coming alive

Most people read about Ephesus, Smyrna, and Laodicea their whole lives — from a pew, from a page. This journey puts you inside the story.

You’ll stand in the theater where Paul preached in Acts 19. You’ll walk the streets of Laodicea where Jesus said, «Behold, I stand at the door and knock.» You’ll pray where the early church prayed — in the ruins of Pergamon, in the sacred pools of Hierapolis, in the underground cities where Christians hid to survive.

No amount of reading prepares you for what it feels like to be there.

When you return home, you will:

3 domestic flights — already included in your price

Most travelers don’t realize how far apart these cities are — or how much domestic flights cost when booked independently. These tickets run $300–500 per person and require separate booking, check-in, and logistics.

In this tour, domestic flights are included in your price. We book them on your behalf. You don’t search, you don’t book, you don’t pay extra. You just show up.

That’s $600–1000 in flights per couple — already taken care of.

Pergamon, an ancient Greek city and one of the seven churches (referring to Christian communities in each city, not just buildings for worship). Early breakfast. Check-out from the hotel. Today, we will begin with the ancient ruins in Izmir (Smyrna), rich in history and home to one of the Seven Churches of Revelation. " Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me." (Rev. 3:20). Transfer to Seljuk. Ancient Ephesus. This morning, we will explore the ancient city of Ephesus, one of the Seven Churches of Revelation (Rev. 1:11), which, for many years, was the second-largest city in the Roman Empire, second only to Rome. In Ephesus, we will visit its numerous historically rich landmarks, including the Temple of Artemis (Diana), the Trajan Fountain, the Baths of Scholastica, the Temple of Hadrian, the Celsus Library, and the Grand Theater – which could accommodate 25,000 spectators (initially used for drama but later in Roman times for gladiator contests), where Paul preached and where the silversmiths' riot took place. We will stroll along the Arcadian Way, once traveled by Mark Antony and Cleopatra in procession. Next, we will visit the ancient ruins of Miletus, the hometown of the architect of Hagia Sophia (and inventor of the corbel arch) Isidore of Miletus. We'll then visit the Temple of the Apostle John the Theologian and the traditional burial site of the apostle. Transfer to Kusadasi and check-in at the Kusadasi hotel. Dinner.

As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent." (Rev. 3:15-16, 19). Today we will visit Laodicea one of the Seven Churches which was rebuked for being lukewarm. Archaeological excavations near Laodicea still testify to its past grandeur: relatively well-preserved stadium, gymnasium, and theaters. We will also stop at the ruins of Hierapolis (another famous site with hot springs), where Paul delivered the good news (Col. 4:13). We'll admire the travertine terraces of Pamukkale and visit Cleopatra's Pool – a remarkable place where, even in Roman times, the pools were frequented by wealthy and noble Romans who believed in the healing properties of the Pamukkale hot springs. Much later, it was confirmed that the water from the springs indeed has therapeutic benefits, treating circulatory diseases, arthritis, and skin conditions. And, of course, there's talk about the instant rejuvenation it offers. Dinner. Rest.

Questions people ask before booking

Yes — and thousands of believers confirm this every year. Turkey's major tourist regions (Istanbul, Cappadocia, Ephesus, the Aegean Coast) are listed by the U.S. State Department under "Exercise Normal Precautions." You travel with an experienced guide, as part of a group, on well-established routes — in the very places where Christian history is written in stone.

This is exactly the right question. We carefully select guides for their deep knowledge of Scripture and Christian history. Your guide doesn't recite dates — they open the Word in the very places where it happened. When you stand in the theatre at Ephesus and read Acts 19, or pray at the ruins of Laodicea — the Bible comes alive in a way it never does from a pew.

There are no fixed departures — that's intentional. This tour is available year-round on custom dates. You tell us when works for your group, and we build the itinerary around your schedule. Contact us with your preferred dates and group size, and we'll respond with a full quote within 48 hours.

Included: 6 nights’ accommodation, 3 domestic flights, all private transfers, all entrance fees to 11 sites, professional biblical guide for 7 days, 7 breakfasts and 5 lunches. Not included: international flights, dinners, beverages, tips, and optional add-ons (hot air balloon, quad safari, Turkish evening show). Every optional is listed in advance with its exact price — no surprises.

Honest answer: this tour involves real walking on uneven terrain and cobblestones. We move at a comfortable group pace with built-in stops. Wheelchairs and mobility scooters cannot be accommodated at most ancient sites. If you have health limitations, tell us at registration — we'll discuss what's possible for your situation.

Absolutely — and this is where we do our best work. For groups of 20 or more, we can extend the journey to 10–14 days, add more biblical destinations, include dedicated worship and devotional time at every site, and offer our best group pricing. Contact us and we'll design the itinerary around your congregation's vision.

A $500 non-refundable deposit per person confirms your spot. $200 non-refundable administrative fees at any case. Full payment is due 90 days before departure. Cancellations 90–31 days prior: 50% of total tour cost. 30 days or fewer: no refund. Domestic airfare is 100% non-refundable once issued. A Life-Changing trip: Explore the Seven Churches of Revelation in Turkey

The believers recognize at Favor travel that most Christians wish to follow Jesus and the apostles in their paths of ministry. The Seven Churches of Revelation Tour represents more than any other journey. It's a return to the roots of your belief.

The Turkey Religious Tours guide visitors to the core center of Early Christianity. The fast pace of modern existence does not grant enough time for reflection. Bills, responsibilities, problems, job, bills again... Life is so hectic, and deep down we’re always longing to find that moment to pause and reflect. Space allows us to understand Christianity deeply because it embraces profound knowledge.

...

Have you ever considered how far the Apostle Paul traveled, especially for his time? During his travels he crossed seas and survived shipwrecks then walked endless distances on foot while facing scandals along with threats and imprisonment. That doesn’t sound like a peaceful life, does it? He devoted his entire existence to complete the mission. Walking the same paths that Paul walked is possible for you today. You can touch the stones of the churches he helped build.

All churches mentioned in the Book of Revelation today stand in the territory of modern Turkey. Yes — they’ve been carefully excavated and preserved as archaeological parks. You can visit them.

And maybe that’s exactly what your soul needs — a pause from the rush of daily life. A time-traveling adventure to obtain new strength for today while building courage for tomorrow. Religious tours in Turkey offer this: stillness, awe, and moments of deep spiritual clarity. Among the most meaningful experiences in turkey religious tours is the seven churches of revelation tour. The seven churches of revelation tour represents more than historical records since they represent your direct spiritual connection.

What Are the Seven Churches of Revelation or Seven Churches of Asia?

The seven churches in Revelation chapters 2 and 3 include:

Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia, Laodicea.

During the seven churches tour in Turkey you will discover your personal story embedded within the ancient stones that represent each city's unique spiritual state.

The Journey Begins in Ephesus: Paul's Legacy Lives On

The seven churches tour begins frequently in Ephesus which stands as one of the best-preserved ancient cities globally. Paul spent more than two years preaching in this thriving city which served as the central point of his third missionary journey. The ancient library and Great Theatre where Paul encountered opposition along with the possible walking path through the streets brings Scripture to life in a way that feels truly alive.

It’s more than archaeology. The experience becomes an intimate connection with the Word of God that continues to live.

Every Stop, A Spiritual Mirror

Smyrna sends a message of enduring faith through hardships. The believers in this location maintain their hope even when facing difficult circumstances.

Tourists in Pergamum can experience a city that maintained its position despite compromising with others and this lesson continues to be important today.

At Thyatira visitors will study about love and tolerance which received both positive and negative messages.

Spiritual complacency receives a warning in Sardis.

Philadelphia gives encouragement to the weak yet faithful.

The message of Laodicea presents a challenge to people who have become lukewarm.

The seven churches of revelation tour invites reflection at every step. Multiple visitors discover that these locations make them write in their journals and pray while some even cry.

Not Just a Tour, But a Transformation

Tourists usually arrive with expectations of learning about ruins yet depart with life-changing experiences. North Carolinian Mary revealed that she planned to visit the sites where Paul preached. God spoke to her through His word in Laodicea which she hadn’t experienced in multiple years. The seven churches of revelation tour in Turkey possess such remarkable power. It addresses people who face spiritual dryness as well as those who remain too busy and those who yearn for meaningful understanding. And it delivers.
